Vintage & restomod

Restoration

For timeless classics and bespoke restomods. We restore vintage bikes with respect for their original spirit, and you decide how far we take it. Museum pieces belong on the road.

Strip and assess before anyone quotes the full job

The shed problem

It's been sitting there for years

It ran when it was parked. Nobody knows what that's worth until the bike comes apart.

You parked it when it still ran. Then a season became a decade, and the project turned into furniture with a number plate.

Behind the paint the tank may be rusting from the inside, the wiring may be brittle and the engine seized, and hard-to-find old parts usually set the calendar.

Nobody can quote a full restoration honestly from a photograph. So we strip it, assess it and show you what we found, and only then talk about money for the whole job.

How far do you want to go?

Showroom-new or ride-like-new

They cost very different amounts, so it's worth deciding early.

Showroom-new

Goal
Concours-correct, original finishes, period-correct parts
Typical scope
Frame-up strip, blasting, powder coat, engine rebuild, correct paint codes, chrome, sourced NOS/OEM parts
Restomod option

Quoted after inspection

Ride-like-new

Goal
Mechanically perfect, cosmetically honest, built to be ridden daily
Typical scope
Engine and brakes rebuilt, electrics modernised, frame and paint refreshed, patina kept where you want it
Restomod option
Classic look, modern suspension, brakes, ignition and tyres

What a restoration covers

Why the finish lasts

  • Vapor blasting

Water, air and mild detergent remove oxidation without damaging soft alloys.

  • Sandblasting

Rust and old paint gone, surface ready for coat.

  • Powder coating

Electrostatically applied and heat-cured; the most durable way to make metal stay.

  • Paint

Custom paint booth and airbrush artist for period-correct colours or your own.

  • Sourcing

We hunt parts across Indonesia and abroad, and say what's original, reproduction, and what we'd do.

No mystery

How it works

  1. Photos on WhatsApp

The bike, the papers, what you want it to become.

  2. Inspection

We collect it (Ubud IDR 300,000, elsewhere IDR 750,000) or you ride/trailer in; we strip enough to quote honestly.

  3. Plan and quote

Scope, parts list, timeline, budget band, agreed in writing.

  4. The work

Photo updates at every stage; decisions on patina, colours and parts are yours.

  5. Shakedown and handover

Test miles, final detailing, a folder of what was done.

Got something in a shed?

Send us photos of it exactly as it sits — rust, boxes of parts and all. A table full of engine parts is our favourite way to start the day.

How we work

Honest before expensive

A restoration goes wrong when the scope grows quietly. Ours is designed so it can't.

Strip and assess first

It comes apart first. You get photographs and a plain list: sound, tired or scrap.

You choose the endpoint

Ride-like-new, showroom-new or restomod. We tell you which one your bike deserves.

The ugly work happens here

Blasting, coating, nickeling, machining, pipebending and paint all happen in this building.

Respect for the original

Patina isn't damage. We'd rather rejuvenate a classic than give it plastic surgery, and if the bike is better for its history, we'll say so.

What you end up with

A bike you can actually trust

A rider in a helmet on a finished bike, headlight on

You see the strip-down photographed, with a written condition assessment, and you agree the endpoint before the rebuild starts.

The loom is remade rather than patched. Parts are sourced and documented, including what was substituted and why. And the bike is ridden and sorted before it's yours, not just assembled.

Questions, answered

It doesn't run at all. Is it too far gone?

Rarely. Not running usually means fuel, spark or compression, and the first two are cheap. Boxes of parts are harder but still workable. Send photos of exactly what you have.

Can you find parts for something this old?

Often, through specialists and the classic network. If a part can't be found we can usually make it, as machining and pipebending are in-house. We tell you which before you commit.

Why won't you just quote from photos?

Any number given before the bike comes apart is a guess, and restoration guesses are always too low. A photo can't show a cracked case or a badly straightened frame. We'd rather be slow and right.

Do I have to do the whole thing at once?

No. Plenty of restorations run in stages: running and safe first, beautiful later. Tell us your priority and budget and we'll sequence it so the bike is usable early.

What's the difference between restoration and a restomod?

A restoration returns a bike towards how it left the factory. A restomod keeps the look but upgrades what you can't see: brakes, suspension, ignition, sometimes the engine. For regular riding it's usually happier.
